SUMMARY OF THE MAIN FEATURES (These are just a few of the many features the program offers)
- Windows-based Graphical User Interface. Runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, XP, Vista (32/64 Bit) and Windows 7 (32/64 Bit).
- Easy Pull-Down menu system for quicker access.
- Search for client case files by using:
- Street address
- Spouse's first and/or last name.
- Dependent's first and/or last name.
- Social Insurance Number. Produces a list of anyone using the specified SIN number.
- List all Employable/Unemployable clients.
- Produce blank copies of numerous Ministry, INAC & ONWAA forms. Various forms such as Self-Employment Kits, T5007, Consents, etc. are also included.
- Application For Assistance Part 1 & 2, Consent To Disclose, Rights & Responsibilities, Verification Checklist, etc. can be produced for each client.
- Produces Outstanding Documentation notices for clients who have information that is 30/60/90 days past due. This is based on the due dates that have been entered on the Verification Checklist and can be used to terminate case files that are not in compliance with providing information in a timely fashion.
- Report on clients who are using the same phone number, SIN or Health Card Number.
- Calculates client entitlements based on benefit unit size and automatically factors in items such as the 50% wage exemptions (when client becomes eligible), No Heat Costs (between specific months), etc.
- Automatically moves dependents into their proper age category based on the month and year you are calculating an entitlement for or approving cheques for.
- Single Source Data Entry. When information is updated in the entitlement calculation section, you are required to make the appropriate section on the Form 1 correct as well which ensures accurate information on file at all times.
- Full range of computer-generated forms that look virtually identical to their MCSS or INAC counterparts.
- Transaction History - this allows you to view all of the transactions (i.e. cheques, etc.) made on behalf of the client and you can quickly access the details on each transaction (eg. distribution, claim status, etc.).
- Choice of client payment frequencies: either One Cheque Per Month or Two Cheques Per Month.
- Ability to calculate and produce a cheque for a partial month's assistance for clients that come in after the main cheque run has been completed.
- Full range of client management reports which include Detailed Informational Reports, Mailing Labels, a variety of Statistical Reports, etc.
- SECURE. Usernames and Passwords are required to gain access to the system. All access to the system is stored to a file which will identify what machine a person is attempting to login from and at what time/date. This will also store the username and/or passwords used to gain access to the system. You can restrict access to specific menus and functions using our new access control system.
- Checks for valid Health Card and Social Insurance Numbers. The system will NOT allow you to leave incorrect numbers in the system!
- All ID numbers used in the system (Applicant, Spouse and Dependent) must be unique, NO DUPLICATES WILL BE PERMITTED. The system will use these ID numbers to track the individual's information under the Employment Assistance module.
- The software is always kept up to date with the latest MCSS rate tables.
- Accommodates special income categories such as Non-Compliance and Other Deemed Income, National Child Benefit Income, etc.
EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE FEATURES
- All of the Ontario Works information required by the Ministry can be entered by selecting the participant to work with and then selecting the appropriate information category you want to enter.
- Numerous Employment Assistance reports such as Active Participants, Deferred Participants, Dependents between specific age ranges, Participants waiting for workshops, Expense Reports for participants, Employment Statistics, etc. which can assist in the populating of the Ministry's Ontario Works Budget Spreadsheet package.
- Customizable databases that contain information on Unions, Trades, Agencies, Sponsors, Staff, Placements, etc.
ONTARIO WORKS DIRECTIVES
- The Ontario Works Directives are available anytime at your fingertips by simply clicking on our Help menu!
- Eliminates the need to refer to the large cumbersome Ontario Works manual.
- Search for ANY word or phrase and the program will find ALL occurrences in the entire manual in a lot less time than searching manually!
- Ability to print specific pages for your reference (or the client's).
- You can run our software and have the Directives open at the same time and you can switch back and forth between them.
- The software also has quick links to the Ontario Works Extranet, Social Assistance and Municipal Operations (SAMO) Extranet, and the SAMO Forms Extranet websites (you still need a username and password to gain access).
