About Us

Our story began in 1992 when Alan Morrison, who was operating as an independent consultant at the time, had an idea to create a software program for First Nation communities in Ontario that would help them to issue social assistance to their community members. This led to the development of the GWA-OW Calculator, the program that started it all! The company A.D. Morrison & Associates Limited became official and it began offering consulting, software, hardware and training solutions to First Nation communities.

The GWA-OW Calculator went from being in use in a few communities back in the 1990s to being the most widely used social assistance software program in Ontario today. It is currently used by over 120 First Nation communities and District Social Services Administration Boards. A similar program, the Income Assistance Manager software, is in use at First Nation communities in Manitoba. We’ve also developed a suite of other software programs over the years and are always adding new ones. 

Today we are pleased to continue to provide the same comprehensive services and support to help meet the unique needs of First Nation communities across Canada.

Our Team

Alan Morrison

Alan, the A.D. in A.D. Morrison & Associates, has been working with First Nations in a variety of capacities since 1974. His credentials include a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration, both from Western University. Alan also holds the Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager designation from the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada.



Jennifer Manley

The most versatile member of our team, Jennifer does it all: technical support, training session coordination, accounting, marketing, ordering, shipping, website maintenance and all aspects of communications. In addition to her extensive management experience, Jennifer is also skilled in technical writing.  


Mark Korn

& technical support

Mark graduated from Fanshawe College with a diploma in Computer Programming and Analysis and he has over 30 years of programming experience. He maintains all software programs that were developed in-house and provides technical support for the entire product line. In addition, Mark is our lead software trainer and he looks after the assembly, installation, service, troubleshooting and networking matters for hardware sales.
